What is Joint Sawing?
Joint sawing is where shallow cuts are sawn in to new concrete slabs to provide a "weakened plane" which encourages cracking (which will naturally occur in all new concrete slabs) to occur in a controlled position.
Parameters:
Joint
Widths: 3mm, 6mm, 8mm and 10mm are standard. Others are available with notice.
Joint Depths: Generaly 1/3rd the depth of slab is recommended, however refer to your engineer for exact requirements.
Applications:
- Joints in new or repaired concrete slabs
- Brick Walls (Full depth of brick required)
